Once you have an optimized page, here are some helpful tips and tricks to grow your web traffic.

Effective socia-media marketing helps build successful businesses. Arecent study by Shareaholic, which tracked 300,000 websites over four months, suggested that social-media referrals now lead to 30 percent of websites’ overall traffic.

If your business website falls well below this benchmark, you may want to consider if you’re doing enough in social media.  Are you utilizing several platforms?  Paid and non-paid posts?  If you can only afford to play in one arena, Google+ is a good place to start.  It’s got B2B and B2C options and is highly optimized. However, it will be difficult to obtain a full 30% from one platform, today.

So, just how do you drive this kind of traffic to your sites? For starters, Google+ is a must for today’s businesses.

1.  When creating a post in Google+, tag people you’re following by adding a “+” sign before their name for added exposure.

2.  Always use hastags prior to key words or phrases you want to be know for.  Example:  #AutoRepair #Phoenix  or #Best #burgers #GreenBayWI.
